Description

Edit 10/3/24: Updated the model and print profile so the overhangs print better and it will assemble easier. Moved the light from the sprue kit from the top to its own piece so it'll be more flat and fit into a wallet and pocket easier.

Ever been stuck on an alien planet surrounded by Daleks? Well worry no more, with the Pocket TARDIS, you'll never be caught unawares again!

 

This is a print in place kit card toy the size of a credit card! Keep it in your pocket or wallet for those times where you suddenly need an HO scale model of the 2024 TARDIS. Use a pair of model cutters to seperate out the pieces and simply slot together. The final model doesn't need glue to hold it together, although you may choose to use it if you want your kit to be extra strong.

 

I have included a multicolour option, a single colour option, and a multi-colour option that doesn't have the kit card elements if you wish to make the model without having to cut it out. This model really needs to be printed with a very fine layer height to catch the panelling of the TARDIS. I recommend 0.08mm layer heights, or 0.04 if you want a smoother top. The model is optimised to minimise colour changes, with a 0.08mm layer height needing only 19 filament changes to get the full four colour model.

 

I've included WAY too much detail on this model, so feel free to scale it up to get a very handsome TARDIS, although at a bigger scale the tolerances will fail a bit, and you will need to use glue to assemble.
