This is a minimalist, single-body Everyday Carry (EDC) Tray designed to keep your pockets empty and your essentials organized. I designed this with a focus on clean lines and a low profile, making it a perfect fit for a nightstand, entryway table, or a modern kitchen counter.

 

The goal was to create a sleek, "one-piece" aesthetic that feels premium while remaining entirely functional for daily use.

 

Design Details

  • Spacious Layout: Large enough to hold a wallet, keys, watch, pen, and a pocket knife or multitool without feeling cluttered.
  • Refined Geometry: Features smoothed internal corners and a slight chamfer on the top edge to make retrieving small items (like coins or rings) easier.
  • Hardware-Free: A monolithic, single-print design that requires no assembly or secondary parts.
  • Anti-Slip Texture: The base is designed to be sturdy, and I’ve included subtle internal floor texture to prevent items from sliding around.
  • Material: Best printed in PETG for a slight satin sheen and high durability, though matte PLA is excellent for that ultra-clean, stealth-black look.

 

Parameters

 

The source file is designed so that the parameters can be directly edited in Fusion 360. If you need a custom size, you can simply open the "Change Parameters" table and modify the following:

  • Length & Width: Change the overall footprint of the tray.
  • Height: Adjust the depth of the tray walls.
  • Thickness: Control the wall and floor thickness for a heavier or lighter feel.
  • Corner Radius: Adjust how rounded the outer and inner corners appear.
  • Note: I am happy to publish and export specific dimensions or variations for anyone who doesn't have access to CAD software or a slicer. Just leave a comment with your requested specs!

 

Print Settings

  • Filament: PLA, PLA+, or PETG
  • Supports: None. The walls are designed with a vertical orientation that prints perfectly clean without any support material.
  • Walls: 3–4 (Adding extra walls gives the tray a satisfying weight and ensures it feels solid).
  • Infill: 10–15% (Gyroid is my preferred).
  • Layer Height: 0.2mm for a balance of speed and detail.

 

Assembly

 

This is a Print-in-Place design. No assembly is required. Once the print is finished, simply remove it from the build plate, and it is ready to use. If you want a more premium feel, you can add small rubber adhesive feet to the bottom to keep it from moving on polished surfaces.
