Description
This Filament Cleaner is a simple but highly effective accessory designed to improve print quality by removing dust and debris from the filament before it enters the printer.
The cleaner mounts directly onto the filament path and uses a piece of foam inside to gently wipe the filament as it passes through. This helps prevent dust buildup on the nozzle, hotend, and extruder, resulting in cleaner surfaces, fewer clogs, and more consistent prints.
The model is designed as a single printed body and uses 2 neodymium magnets (10 mm diameter × 3 mm height), allowing it to open and close easily for quick foam replacement or cleaning.
You can use foam cut from a standard kitchen sponge, making this accessory both inexpensive and convenient.
