The Horn of Númenor – Rings of Power
Print Profile(1)

Description
The Horn of Númenor – Rings of Power Prop Replica (Míriel's Trial)

Short Description:
A highly detailed replica of the ceremonial dragon horn from The Rings of Power. Perfect for cosplay, LARP, or as a display piece for your collector's shelf
Description:
📯 Bring a piece of Middle-earth home!
This model is a faithful replica of the War Horn of Númenor, known from *The Rings of Power* series. It is inspired by the horn seen during the solemn ceremony and the trial of Queen Regent Míriel
The design features the distinctive dragon head at the mouthpiece and the delicate, Númenórean embellishments on the fittings. It perfectly captures the aesthetic of the island kingdom – a blend of maritime power and ancient elegance
✨ Model Highlights:
- Detailed Texture: The surface is modeled to resemble real, aged wood after printing
- Fine Ornaments: The golden bands and the dragon head feature runes and patterns that are excellent for wash and dry-brush techniques
- Collector's Quality: Ideal for a shelf display or as a prop for your next cosplay
⚙️ Print Recommendations:
- Material: PLA, PLA-CF, or PETG
- Layer Height: 0.12mm to 0.16mm for best details on the ornaments
- Infill: 10-15% (Grid or Gyroid) is sufficient for a display model. For a heavier feel in the hand, I recommend 20-25%
- Supports: Yes, mandatory for the dragon jaw and the horn's overhang. I recommend "Tree Supports" as they are easier to remove and gentle on the surface
- Orientation: Best to print standing up to allow the layer lines to follow the natural "wood grain"
🎨 Painting & Post-Processing (Tips for the Look):
To achieve the look from the series (see my photos):
- Primer: Matte black
- Wood Part: Paint dark brown and then dry brush with a lighter leather brown to highlight the grain
- Metal Parts: Paint with bronze or antique gold. A dark wash (e.g., Agrax Earthshade) will bring out the recesses. Afterwards, lightly accent the edges with bright gold or silver
- Chain: The model has no eyelets for a chain. For maximum realism, I recommend attaching a real metal chain from a hardware store instead of printing one
📸 Show your Make! I would be delighted to see your photos. Feel free to upload a picture if you have printed and painted the horn!
Happy printing!
