Description
I’ve always been drawn to architecture and iconic landmarks, which is why I started creating bookmarks inspired by famous places from around the world.
Himeji Castle is located in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, and is widely considered the finest surviving example of traditional Japanese castle architecture.
Often called the “White Heron Castle” due to its elegant white exterior, Himeji Castle dates back to the early 17th century.
The castle complex is renowned for its layered rooftops, defensive design, and beautiful harmony with the surrounding gardens and water features.
As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Himeji Castle stands as a symbol of Japan’s feudal history, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage.
Today, it remains one of Japan’s most visited and photographed historic landmarks.
