Description
During the renovation of an old, compact, and dilapidated home, the dense distribution of existing indoor pipes led to numerous access panels, which not only compromised the aesthetic tidiness of the space but also wasted wall space. To address this, an integrated two-in-one access panel and fresh air vent was specifically designed. This dual-purpose solution effectively resolves key issues: it meets the ventilation demands of a fresh air system, ensuring good indoor air circulation, while also retaining pipeline inspection functionality, eliminating the need for additional demolition or alteration during future maintenance. Furthermore, it reduces unnecessary openings on walls, enhancing the overall spatial appearance, perfectly meeting the practical and aesthetic requirements of old house renovations.
It is best to print with PETG or a more heat-resistant and environmentally friendly material.
Accessories needed: 100x100mm stainless steel mesh, cut into a 90mm diameter circle for use.
Installation of embedded parts: A 200x168mm opening is required in the ceiling, and a painter/plasterer is needed for installation. Installation steps are shown in the figure below.
Installation of the vent: A painter/plasterer is needed for installation (mainly for sanding layer lines and painting).
