Iāve loved Spirographs since I was a child, the way simple circles can create such complex, hypnotic beauty. Iāve seen many Spirograph tools and models, but I haven't seen an actual, ready-to-print art generator. Ā
I built this project to create instant, 3D-printable geometry. You can generate, preview, and print your own unique designs in seconds.
From Nostalgia to 3D Art
- Ready to Print: Perfect line widths for 0.4mm nozzles.
- The "Random" Button: Set the Random_seed to anything other than 0 to create a completly new random spirograph art
- Frame or No Frame: Use the included frame to turn your design into a wall plaque, or print the art alone to glue onto everything you want
Quick Start Guide
- Manual Mode: Set Random_seed to 0 and use the sliders to find your perfect shape.
- Random Mode: Put in your favorite number as the Random_seed and see what the math gives you.
- Laps: If the design looks "unfinished," increase the Laps (e.g., 25 or more) to let the line complete its journey.
- Art Only: Set Frame_height to 0
- Frame Only: Set Spirograph_height to 0
