Description

This is a rack mount for the Hitron CODA56 cable modem. In order to install it, you'll need to remove the base by unscrewing the two philips screws on the bottom of the modem after which you should be able to gently pull off the base. There are small retaining hooks on the base, and which are also incorporated into the rack mount. The mount is installed over in place of the base and the two screws are used to retain the mount along with the retaining hooks. If the modem will be suspended, I had the best results with using materials such as PETG-CF or similarly rigid filaments. The profile has two version of the mount, one with a reinforced corner that helps with rigidity, and one without in case you want to the mount the modem closer to the rack verticals.

If you're looking to integrate the cable modem further into your server rack, I've designed a mount for the OpenRack system which was inspired by this 1U rack mount for the CODA56 modem
