Description

The Cup Holder Revolution has begun! Just published the next evolution in this lineup. Before you print the original, go have a peek at Holdeez!

Hot on the heels of the Half Gallon Jug Cup Holder Adapter, I had a request for one better sized for a 1L bottle of water. The request was specifically based around Waiakea brand water, but this will also accommodate Fiji and Smartwater. Fortunately I had a few minutes last night before the snow got going to run out to Wawa and pickup a bottle to test with. LOL

Probably a bunch of other brands work too, though I haven't exactly had the time to do an exhaustive test.

4 plates in the profile, 1 each for PLA, PETG, ASA, and ABS. If you've got another material type in mind, there really isn't anything material-specific here, so feel free to give it a go. As was the case with the half-gallon, there are modifier blocks to slow down printing of the side lattice, ensuring those bits turn out nice and smooth! Please don't delete them. Yes, it increases the print time by a bit, but hey - it's not a race. :)

Sample print shown here was done in eSun's PLA Basic. I highly recommend printing in something that will withstand the heat of a hot car in the summer, like PETG, ABS, ASA, PCTG, etc.

Absolutely love it! I printed both the tall and shorty, both fit in our cars perfectly. Love the design, it is easy to print. Printed the tall white in PETG and the shorty in Rainbow Silk which won't be staying in the car for obvious reasons, I'll use that in my office.

Sure you can. Same as the half gallon one I’ve got posted. It’s just an open box sized for the various vessels. I’ve actually got a test print of a 1-gallon version running on the A1 right now!

Normal, manual with snug as the style. I do 3 interface layers with a 0.275mm z-height. They pop right off that way.

I'm happy to take a stab - can you give me the measurements of the carton you're interested in (preferably in mm)? I think there are also a handful of other ones out there in that really small size if you'd rather just print & go.

any chance you can make one for a 2L bottle of Soda?

My exhaustive research (ie 30 seconds of googling, lol - I don't have any 2L bottles in the house) suggests that the diameter of that should be 110mm, which should JUST fit in the half gallon one, as it's using 110mm sides. Might be a little tight. Let me know!
