Axocutie – Improved Articulated Axolotl
Axocutie is a cute, articulated axolotl model that gained a lot of popularity in its first version. This improved release builds on the original design and introduces targeted upgrades in size, durability, and multicolor printing flexibility.
Improvements compared to the first version:
Size:
The new model is slightly larger than the original
• Original version: approx. 10.5 cm (≈ 4.13 in)
• Improved version: approx. 11.7 cm (≈ 4.61 in)
Larger eye areas:
The eye sections have been enlarged, making Axocutie compatible with the modular eyes used on other models such as Swirly the Snail or Babycroc the Little Crocodile.
Improved leg joints:
The leg joints have been reinforced to increase durability. This addresses one of the most commonly mentioned drawbacks of the earlier version, where legs could break more easily.
Optimized for multicolor printing:
The 3D model now consists of more clearly separated segments, making it easier to assign colors in the slicer and improving overall multicolor printability.
Axocutie remains a compact, charming print-in-place model with high play and display value—now sturdier, slightly larger, and more flexible when it comes to color customization.
