Description
Indirect Light Diffuser for Recessed Ceiling Spotlights
This design is not a lamp itself, but a light diffuser for recessed ceiling spotlights.
It is compatible with fixtures that have an inner diameter of 90–105 mm and an outer diameter of 120 mm.
I designed this diffuser because the original spotlights in my space produced a very direct, cold white light, giving the room an unpleasant hospital-like feeling. With this diffuser, the light is redirected toward the wall, creating a soft, indirect illumination that results in a much more warm, atmospheric, and captivating effect.
Instead of harsh direct light, the diffuser transforms the space by using reflected light, which is far more comfortable and visually pleasing.
Printing recommendations:
- Matte and metallic filaments work especially well for a clean, elegant look.
- You can also experiment with semi-transparent filaments, which allow the internal infill to be subtly visible, as shown in some of the shared images—this can create very interesting visual effects.
