IKEA Fado Lamp Fluted Donut Base

Base replacement for IKEA Fado 25cm desk lamp - article number 800.963.72.

It is a complete base replacement, i.e. the only part that you need is the glass dome.

In order to make this you will need to buy E27 lightbulb socket with cable, inline switch and plug, something like this:

I'd say most european style light bulb sockets should fit, but your experience may vary.

You can obviously buy a holder for a different type of lightbulb if you want, but dimensions are important:

• The lower opening diameter of the base for the light bulb socket is 55mm.
• The upper opening diameter of the light bulb socket riser is 42mm.

The base prints in three parts that slot to each other, but to secure them you should use a little bit of AC Glue (Superglue) in places where they connect.

After that, simply put the light bulb socket from the bottom, secure it with the ring, route the cable through the opening, insert the lightbulb and put the glass dome on top.

The glass dome is not really held by anything other than weight, I contemplated adding some clips but due to the print orientation they would be rather weak and snap easily, instead I played around with the tolerances to make them tight.

The default print profile includes fuzzy skin setting, if you don't like that, you can turn it off by going to Objects settings of the outer ring (Plate 2) in BambuStudio.
