Description

NOTE for printing: after layer 118, replace the red filament with black

The 477.0 series locomotive (also known as the "parrot") is the last type of steam locomotive produced by ČKD for the Czechoslovak State Railways. Its production took place in 1951–1952. The machine is a tender locomotive designed for fast passenger transport on suburban lines and also for the transport of express trains, where it replaced the older pre-war 464.0 series machines. Over time, due to the progress of electrification of the railway network and the production of new diesel locomotives, they were transferred to less important lines and capacities. After 1970, this series was also decommissioned and canceled after less than 20 years of operation. The last locomotives reached their end of service between 1978–1979. Three machines with registration numbers 013, 043 and 060 have been preserved to the present day.
