Description and context (French)
This bust offers a classical sculptural interpretation of Hedy Lamarr, inspired by the most iconic and widely disseminated photograph of the actress. Presented frontally, in an upright and neutral pose, the sculpture emphasizes the facial structure and balance of volumes, with deliberately strong and refined features
The lines of the face are treated with sobriety to reinforce the sculptural reading: the planes are sharp, the forms clear, and superfluous details are deliberately omitted. The characteristic and immediately recognizable hairstyle is simplified into well-defined masses, contributing to the bust's strong visual identity. The natural asymmetry of the face is preserved, giving the whole an authentic and human character, faithful to the spirit of the reference photograph
Hedy Lamarr, born Hedwig Kiesler, was both a Hollywood film icon and a visionary inventor. Famous for her acting career in the 1930s and 1940s, she also originated, with George Antheil, a spread-spectrum communication system, a precursor to modern technologies such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. This bust pays homage to this dual identity, celebrating both the timeless elegance of the actress and the remarkable intelligence of the scientist, brought together in a sober and timeless representation

Description and background (English)
This bust offers a classical sculptural interpretation of Hedy Lamarr, inspired by the most iconic and widely recognized photograph of the actress. Presented in a perfectly frontal and neutral pose, the sculpture emphasizes facial structure and balanced volumes, with deliberately strong and simplified features.
The facial lines are treated with restraint to enhance the sculptural reading: clear planes, defined forms, and the absence of unnecessary surface detail. The characteristic hairstyle, instantly recognizable, is simplified into well-defined masses that reinforce the strong visual identity of the bust. Natural facial asymmetry is preserved, giving the piece an authentic and human presence, faithful to the spirit of the reference photograph.
Hedy Lamarr, born Hedwig Kiesler, was both a Hollywood film icon and a visionary inventor. Best known for her acting career in the 1930s and 1940s, she also co-invented, alongside George Antheil, a frequency-hopping communication system that laid the foundations for modern technologies such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. This bust pays tribute to her dual legacy, honoring both the timeless elegance of the actress and the remarkable intellect of the scientist in a sober and timeless sculptural form.
