Print Profile(1)

Description
📝 Model Description
This project is a DIY 3D printed dome port housing designed for GoPro cameras, ideal for underwater filming, split over-under shots, and creative wide-angle photography.

📘 Assembly Manual (Based on Photos)
Step 1 – Prepare the Printed Parts
- Print the dome frame using PETG or ABS for better moisture resistance.
- Clean and dry all printed parts.
- Test-fit the spherical ornament halves inside the frame.
Step 2 – Install the Dome Sphere
- Insert the bi-part spherical photo ornament into the printed frame.
- Ensure the transparent surface is clean and free of dust or fingerprints.
- Align the seam of the sphere evenly inside the frame.
Step 3 – Sealing
- Apply transparent silicone sealant along the contact area between the sphere and the printed frame.
- Smooth the silicone to ensure full coverage and avoid gaps.
- Let it cure fully according to the silicone manufacturer’s instructions (usually 24 hours).
Step 4 – Mounting to the GoPro
- Attach the dome assembly to the GoPro housing using a Velcro strap.
- The design leaves space to route the Velcro securely around the housing.
- Tighten firmly but avoid excessive pressure.
Step 5 – Final Check
- Perform a leak test.
Check for bubbles or water ingress.
🎥 Usage Tips
- Best results are achieved in clear water and good lighting.
- Keep the dome clean to avoid distortion or glare.
- Ideal for surface shots, snorkeling, pools, lakes, and rivers.
- Rinse with fresh water after saltwater use.
