Description
Gridfinity Console Tray – Honda Ridgeline / Pilot / Passport (Remix)
This is a remix of an excellent center console tray design, updated to support Gridfinity for modular, reconfigurable storage. I’ve run some version of this tray in my Gen 2 Ridgeline for a long time — it’s a massive upgrade over the factory insert. This upload includes two print options so you can choose the one that fits how you actually use your console:
- Shallow version: closest to the original feel / profile (great for low-profile organization)
- Deep version: more depth for deeper modules and/or stacking modules (because pockets exist for a reason)
What Changed (Remix Details)
This remix was intentionally simple and done entirely in Tinkercad using copy/paste operations:
- Squared off the front edge to better accommodate Gridfinity modules
- Integrated a 4×4 Gridfinity base (generated via https://gridfinity.perplexinglabs.com)
Added a solid floor for improved rigidity and print reliability
Slightly Increased the fore aft dimension to accommodate the Gridfinity modules
Each Gridfinity cell includes magnet sockets (6 mm × 2 mm) for optional retention. Magnets are not required.
The system works perfectly fine friction-only if that’s your preference.
Deep Version Updates
The refinements below apply to the DEEP / v2 tray only:
- Added a deeper tray option for deeper Gridfinity bins and/or stacking
- Shaved the side walls slightly for better horizontal clearance and easier insertion/removal
- Strengthened the top rails (thicker where the tray needs it most)
- Increased thickness on the front and rear walls for stiffness and durability
Vehicle Compatibility
Like the original model, this tray fits these Hondas with the console that has the roll-top / sliding cover:
- Passport from 2019-2023(Third Generation)
- Pilot from 2016-2022 (Third Generation)
- Ridgeline from 2017-2023 (Second Generation)
Gridfinity Notes
- Standard 42 mm × 42 mm Gridfinity spacing
- Compatible with most Gridfinity bins and accessories
- Great for coins, pens, flash drives, garage door remotes, spare change, or the random stuff that otherwise becomes console soup
Print Profile Notes
You do you! any profile should work, but PETG is best (because cars get hot!) printed as shown with supports for the side rails. I printed mine in PETG @ 20mm with 5 walls, 40% infill, and automatic thin tree supports.

If you’re already living the Gridfinity life, this turns your console into a tiny, civilized storage system instead of a plastic junk drawer. Print it, load it up, and wonder why Honda didn’t do this from the factory.
