Description

This model depicts a giant subterranean worm creature emerging vertically from the ground, designed with 3D printing as a primary consideration. The creature’s body is thick and cylindrical, tapering slightly as it rises, with smooth, evenly spaced segmented rings that provide visual rhythm while avoiding excessive overhangs.

The front-facing mouth is the focal point: a large, circular opening reinforced with multiple concentric rows of sharp, conical teeth. Each tooth is fully embossed with clear depth and separation, ensuring strong definition after printing. The interior of the mouth recedes inward in stepped layers, creating depth without thin, fragile geometry.

Across the worm’s pale, fleshy surface are raised nodules and organic growths, all sculpted as rounded, embossed forms rather than flat textures. Short, curved tendrils protrude from the body at controlled angles, thick at the base and smoothly tapered to minimize breakage and unsupported spans during printing.

The creature rises from a solid integrated base designed to resemble broken ground. The base is circular and stable, with cracked earth and embedded rubble sculpted directly into the surface. All rocks and debris are grounded and fused to the base—no floating elements—ensuring structural integrity and easy slicing. The transition between the worm’s body and the ground is blended smoothly, reinforcing the illusion that the creature is bursting up from underground.
