This mesmerizing fidget spinner is one of my most satisfying fidgets yet! It uses 3 carefully designed helical gears that rotate around a central middle gear with a textured surface. I've included a clear instructional video that is linked above to make you experience with this gear fidget spinner as easy as possible. This model was designed with carefully crafted snap fit pins, removing the need for any glue or external hardware. The clearances in this fidget spinner were heavily tested and tweaked to make sure that the gears mesh as smooth as they possibly can. You can hold it like a regular fidget spinner and spin the sides for a traditional and satisfying fidget spinner feel. Another fun option is to hold the frame and spin one of the outer gears, making the entire thing come to life. Incorporating clever design and a mesmerizing demonstration of cross-axis gears, this is an amazing print for and mechanism loving maker.

Printing Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Print Bed
    • Clean the print bed thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to ensure proper adhesion.
    • Additional adhesive for the print bed is highly recommended! I suggest using 3D-Lac spray or a glue stick.
       
  2. Download the Print Profile
    • Send the pre-configured print profile to your Bambu Lab printer through the Bambu Handy app or Download and open the pre-configured print profile in Bambu Studio.
       
  3. Select Your Printing Options
    • Choose your filament type and color.
    • Select your print bed type (e.g., textured or smooth).
    • Confirm your printer settings, ideally for a Bambu Lab printer.
       
  4. Start Printing
    • Begin the print job. No supports are necessary.
