Description

Is buying a KO MP10 off aliexpress too easy for you? Do you already own every single iteration of this mold? Do you want to be a god?

Thanks to the amazing updated original file by Petergross3, I'm proud to re-release MP10 in all its glory.

His original file has been improved tremendously and provided the perfect opportunity as I was meaning to rehaul this guy for a while.

GOALS:

  • Painless print - Ensuring the files were clean to print and structurally optimized.
  • Clarity in assembly - Merging and simplifying a great deal of the pieces to reduce the need for glue and hardware. Less pieces mean less confusion which is aided by clear to follow instructions.
  • Fun to handle - A resulting figure that can be picked up and transformed easily, without it falling apart on you.

Most of the changes I've made are considered essential.

Some parts in the original file don't fit together and yeah, not taking into account of tolerances makes for a difficult experience.
I've streamlined as much as possible to make this seamless to follow.

(some of the) CHANGES:

  • Sized everything down to 85% making him 30 CM tall.
  • Built in tolerances added.
  • Strengthened the joints and ratchets.
  • Rehaul of the assembly process for better printing and structural stability.
  • Organized in an easy to understand .3mf
  • A slew of aesthetic improvements.

YOU WILL NEED:

  • A high quality printer and material that can output accurate dimensions
  • PETG (or ABS) and TPU (both in grey and TPU being at least 95A)
  • 2mm and 1mm pins
  • Respective drill bits to help clear out those holes
  • A pair of M3x16 and M3x8 screws with nuts
  • Glue
  • Pliers

My source blend file is available on my ko-fi. https://ko-fi.com/s/24df173b9f

NOTES:

  • Parts listed as PETG and TPU MUST be those materials. Your choice of PLA will work for the rest but for a longer lasting product, you should use PETG instead. The PETG can be substituted for anything stronger too, like ABS
  • No axe or collapsible ion blaster yet. May work on that for a future update.
