Indiana University Football - Fernando Mendoza

Celebrate the amazing IU football season and CFP championship with your own Fernando Mendoza brick figure!

Based on the amazing model by @Bill Lab (American Football Player brick model) and with their permission I offer you an IU legend: Fernando Mendoza.

The model features his uniform and look from the CFP 2026 Championship game and features the NCAA CFP Championship Trophy and his Heisman Trophy. Other key features include the Hoosier Bold font style for the jersey and lettering, IU logo featured on the trophy and pants and more. The model also includes a football and both the Heisman and Championship trophy can sit on a flat surface in case you want to use all of the accessories.

Most of the parts require an AMS and be forewarned the jersey takes quite a while with many swaps (6+ hours) and the helmet, and head and arms are quite long prints. Make sure to keep the purge tower enabled to avoid bleed of the red into the white filament.

I used a modified head model that I thought more closely captured Mendoza's personality (and smile, eyebrow color and lack of eye black). You can print the multi-part regular football player face in the original model or the AMS (multi-color) version of the standard head which has many fewer color swaps if you prefer.

The Heisman trophy is a separate print profile and will be published separately as well for use with other brick players.

I listed the Bambu Lab filaments I used for my print and really like how it all came out. I like the Maroon Red that comes very close to the official Indiana brand red color. I used dark chocolate brown for the football and a skin tone filament I found on Amazon from Eryone. I tried using the Bambu Beige but it was far too washed out and too light. Note that the Eryone filament came on a cardboard spool that I have heard can be troublesome in the AMS. Since the head requires the AMS I re-spooled it onto a plastic spool. Alternatively, this other skin beige filament was virtually the same color and on a plastic spool.

Lastly - some tips for assembly:

• Be careful when removing the supports near the arm of the Heisman trophy so it doesn't break.
• You may need to sand or smoothe the edges on the trophy and/or helmet facemask.
• Glue is helpful to secure the 2 football halves
• Glue is optional (I didn't use it for the jersey and helmet - should friction fit together)
