Description
This is a lightweight, low-profile finger splint designed to help keep the ring finger in a straight, supported position, created specifically to assist with Hirayama disease–related finger weakness. The design focuses on comfort, simplicity, and everyday wearability while still providing gentle positional support.
Two versions are included:
- Fixed-size (closed loop) -- more compact, rigid, and mechanically stable
- Adjustable (slotted loop) -- allows slight expansion for easier fit and comfort
How to Scale for Your Finger
- Measure your finger circumference at the knuckle
- Compute your finger diameter:
Diameter = Circumference / π - Compute scaling factor:
Scale = (Your Diameter / Reference Diameter) × 100%- Reference Diameter for this model = 19.25 mm
- Scale = Finger Circumference * 1.65
- Apply this as uniform scaling in your slicer
