Description

This is a lightweight, low-profile finger splint designed to help keep the ring finger in a straight, supported position, created specifically to assist with Hirayama disease–related finger weakness. The design focuses on comfort, simplicity, and everyday wearability while still providing gentle positional support.

Two versions are included:

  • Fixed-size (closed loop) -- more compact, rigid, and mechanically stable
  • Adjustable (slotted loop) -- allows slight expansion for easier fit and comfort

How to Scale for Your Finger

  1. Measure your finger circumference at the knuckle
  2. Compute your finger diameter:
    Diameter = Circumference / π
  3. Compute scaling factor:
    Scale = (Your Diameter / Reference Diameter) × 100%
    1. Reference Diameter for this model = 19.25 mm
    2. Scale = Finger Circumference * 1.65
  4. Apply this as uniform scaling in your slicer
