Description

I present to you an incredible work of magical engineering - a masterful design, a weapon that could only have been crafted by the finest artisans among the Soviet elves, and the only magical staff worthy of true enthusiasts and scholars of Explosion Magic (which, as we all know, is the best kind of magic).

Behold:

The Magic RPG-7 Scepter of Explosions

As mentioned earlier, this artifact is crafted to a masterful standard, made with exceptional attention to detail, as well as to ergonomics and user safety. It was designed from the ground up based on an iconic rocket launcher that can be seen in almost every action movie ever made.

The model features a modular construction that allows the grip section to be extended with additional segments, making it easy to transform the scepter into a full-length staff. Simply print more handle sections and screw them together using the integrated threads.

If, however, a more compact configuration is desired, the “rocket” can be removed from the launcher. It is held in place by a simple springy latch, allowing for quick and easy disassembly.

For improved user comfort, flip-up iron sights have been installed, ensuring accuracy is maintained even at extended ranges. Your opponents will stand no chance against you - even at the sniper distances.

The rocket includes a mounting space for a Focusing Element (commonly known as an electric tealight). Simply press it into the rocket connector and secure it with a small amount of glue to prevent unwanted rotation. Activating its power is slightly inconvenient, but the designers aimed to accommodate users who may have difficulty assembling their own Focusing Elements. That said, space has been left for a 2×AA battery holder for more magically inclined tinkerers.

Printing notes and assembly recommendations:

  • The model can be printed in PLA or PETG. For increased durability, I recommend using at least 3 perimeter walls and 20% gyroid infill.
  • For the best visual effect, it is recommended to print the crystals and diffuser using transparent filament.
  • When printing the crystals, increasing Z-hop is advised to reduce the risk of collisions and surface damage.
  • The crystals benefit from a bit of post-processing using sandpaper or a small file.
  • Some parts are assembled using threaded connections, while others require glue (cyanoacrylate or epoxy adhesive works well).
  • Small holes may benefit from being cleaned up with a drill bit for proper fit.
  • The rocket latch does not lock very tightly, but based on my tests it holds securely enough for normal use.
  • Among the STL files, versions without magical inscriptions are included, allowing for custom decoration and personalization.
