This is a professional-grade, modular Radiation Shield (Stevenson Screen) specifically designed for the:Ā
- AQARA WSDCGQ11LMĀ
- SONOFF SNZB-02
temperature and humidity sensor. Its louvered design ensures maximum airflow while protecting the sensor from direct sunlight and rain, preventing distorted temperature readings.
Easy battery and sensor replacement ā no disassembly or tools required. Swap sensor types without having to re-print the entire shield.
š Versatile Mounting System
The standout feature of this project is its Universal Mount System. You can install it almost anywhere:
- Wall Mount: Securely fixed with two screws.
- Gutter Mount: Attached easily using a standard zip-tie (cable tie).
- Soffit Mount: A dedicated threaded base and extension post for clean under-roof installation.

š¦ What you need to print:
To build a complete shield, you must print:
- 1x Top Plate (Threaded or Standard)
- 2x Middle Plates (Add more if you want a taller shield!)
- 1x Bottom Plate
- 1x Aqara Sensor Mounting Insert
I have prepared only one plate with the core components; you must now manually add your chosen mounting element from the attached STEP files to the build plate. Be sure to set the layer height between 0.16mm and 0.20mmādo not add supports!
Choose your mount:
- Wall Bracket OR
- Gutter Bracket OR
- Soffit Set (Threaded mount + Extension post)
āļø Recommended Print Settings:
- Material: ASA or PETG are highly recommended for UV and heat resistance. (ABS is also fine; PLA only for shaded areas).
- Layer Height: * 0.16mm - 0.20mm for threaded parts (to ensure smooth assembly).
- 0.24mm for standard plates and brackets to save time.
- Walls: 3-4 walls for durability.
- Supports: Minimal or none required (depending on your printer's bridging performance).
