Description

This adapter allows for a clean installation of a Link Monsoon ECU in a Mazda Miata MX-5 NB/NBFL (Mk2/2.5). It is designed to reuse the original OEM metal brackets and screws.

The OEM brackets are screwed directly into this printed block (self-tapping), ensuring a stock-like fitment under the dashboard using the original mounting points.

⚙️ Print Settings

Successfully printed and tested on a Bambu Lab P1S using the "0.20mm Strength" profile.

  • Profile: 0.20mm Strength (Bambu Studio).
  • Walls/Perimeters: 6 Walls (Crucial! Ensures the screws bite into solid plastic, not infill).
  • Infill: 25% (or higher).
  • Material:
    • Tested with: PETG (Works well).
    • Recommended: ASA or ABS (Preferred for higher heat resistance in summer).
    • ⚠️ Do not use PLA! (It will warp inside a hot car).

🔧 Assembly

  1. Remove the stock ECU and unscrew the side metal brackets.
  2. Use the original OEM screws to attach the brackets to the printed mount.
    • Note: The screws will self-tap into the plastic. Tighten them hand-tight only to avoid stripping the plastic threads.
  3. Mount the Link Monsoon to the printed holder.
  4. Install the assembly back into the car.
