Description

Stand for Hakko FR-301 desoldering gun.

I spent too much money on this fancy gadget. I thought the proper stand sold separately was expensive and poorly designed.

This stand:

  • Reuses the existing metal stand in the box. Nothing else needed.
  • Has some trays for knick-knacks.
  • Won't damage the cord out of the bottom of the handle.
  • Is Gridfinity compatible.
  • Option to be printed on the A1 mini.
  • Has hooks for the cord when wrapped up.

Model pictured is printed in PLA, has been in use for about a year now with no warping issues.

After a 20 minute test at 450c, the metal plate gets toasty and uncomfortable to hold barehanded but still no warping issues.

I cannot test 500c due to using a 110v transformer on a 100v gun.

If you are worried about heat creep, I suggest using PETG or PC for greater heat resistance.

V2:

  • Changed the way print profiles are organised
  • Made the cradle for the tool changer longer
  • Changed feet sizing
