Description

I was not a huge fan of the water borders from the original design and really like the borders that came with my 6th edition Catan + Expansion Pack. The borders that came with my game already had the harbors printed on it but I did print the extra tiles in case I ever want to randomize the harbors.

I modified was the location of some items. I moved my building cards, longest road & largest army cards, and the harbor tiles to the mid layer and dedicated the lid layer to the border pieces (they just fit the lid) and the 1st and 2nd pieces that came with my game. Had to modify the magnet location a bit and added a few more for added hold. This now allows all of the original pieces to fit inside of one storage box. I also split up the card holder in my latest design so that I can use the card holder during the game.

I am not an expert in SolidWorks so if you see anything that is wrong please let me know and I will try to fix it.

I just want to make sure I understand this correctly. I can print the bottom pieces and the box from Eva, and I can print the water border pieces from you and put them all together? I really like the individual boxes for the different colors of playing pieces from Eva's design, but I have custom playing pieces that do not fit in the original height so I want to make them a little deeper. I know how to do that but I do not know how or where to make the spot for the water borders so want to print yours. Is this possible?

Correct. The box dimensions are all the same as Eva. All you need from my design is the mid layer, the lid insert and the lid cover. that should be everything you need.

One other question. What is the extra spot in the lid portions with the water borders? The one shaped like a tombstone.

I am starting this print for a friend. I know you said you made the lid to fit the original pieces but I love the name of the game on the top. before I print the lid would Eva’s lid fit the alterations you made? or do I need to print your lid for them to fit in?

The lid from Eva's design will work. My file is just the insert that goes onto that lid.

printed great, only thing i noticed was the larger cards would not fit at all. the water pieces for the lid is a tad small but i think i can file that down.
