Braille Slate Ballpoint Stylus
Print Profile(0)
Description
It is a braille stylus, used for writing braille on a slate
Use Kola Loka (cyanoacrylate glue) to glue the top and bottom parts together
It is necessary to shape the tip with the Dremel. The grinding bit should be used
Important:
It is very important to polish the tip. When it is not polished, it is difficult to write, as it remains very rough. For this, use the Dremel polishing accessories (sponge disc and polishing wax)
Stainless steel rods with a diameter of 2.00 mm are sold on AliExpress.
Files “hole 2” DRILL
The 2.00 mm tip does not easily fit into the handle. It is necessary to use a small drill bit (with a drill) to scrape the inside and widen the hole walls
Files “hole 2.5mm” NO DRILL
With the 2.5mm diameter hole, the rod fits loosely and drilling is not necessary. You only need to cover/apply glue over 5mm of the tip to be inserted. These files are recommended, as drilling is not necessary.
The Blueprint (with the recommended measurements) for the stylus can be found in the photograph.
Note:
The file “braille stylus with tip.stl” does not have the correct measurements. It is necessary to scale it. The other files do have the appropriate measurements
