T.A.P.E. - Tape Adaptive Panel Ecosystem
Print Profile(13)

Description
T.A.P.E. - Tape Adaptive Panel Ecosystem
T.A.P.E. is a modular wall-mounted system designed to keep any type of adhesive tape neatly organized.
The system is compatible with the vast majority of adhesive tapes on the market, thanks to support for common inner diameter and tape width standards.
T.A.P.E. allows you to use the tape directly from the wall-mounted support or to remove the roll and carry it with you, without having to disassemble the system or remove adjacent tapes.
A practical and flexible approach that combines organization, modularity, and freedom of use.
Module Composition

Each T.A.P.E. module consists of 4 or 5 components, depending on the selected configuration and intended use.
- Wall Mount
The main structural element, designed for wall installation and acting as the base of the modular system. - Side Panels (single or double)
Lateral components used to define the module layout. - Roller
The support roller on which the tape roll is mounted. - Adapter (if required)
Used to ensure compatibility with tapes of different widths. - Cutter
The element that allows the tape to be cut directly from the wall-mounted support.
Wall Mount
The wall mount is designed to be fixed to the wall using three screws, providing good stability and adequate resistance during tape pulling.
The layout of the mounting points helps distribute the load evenly, reducing flex and unwanted movement during use.

Side Panels: Single or Double
You can choose whether to use single or double side panels, depending on how you want to configure your T.A.P.E. system.
The single side panel is intended for the beginning and the end of a series, while the double side panel is used for all central modules, allowing multiple elements to be connected in a clean and continuous layout.
This approach lets you build a linear configuration of any length, adapting it to the available space and to the number of tapes you want to organize.

Roller
Five roller diameters are available, based on the most common adhesive tape standards:
- 25 mm / 1"
- 38 mm / 1.5"
- 50 mm / 2"
- 65 mm / 2.5"
- 76 mm / 3"
Each diameter is available in different sizes, which should be selected according to the tape width you intend to use.
The correct roller size should be chosen using the following classification:
- XS → tape width from 1 mm to 15 mm
- S → tape width from 15 mm to 35 mm
- M → tape width from 35 mm to 55 mm
- L → tape width greater than 55 mm
This system allows you to precisely adapt the support to tapes of any width, while maintaining proper stability and smooth rotation of the roll.
Tolerance note
Although industry standards exist for adhesive tape inner diameters, some products may show significant manufacturing tolerances.
If the correct roller is difficult or impossible to insert into the tape core, it is recommended to reprint the roller at a reduced scale of 1–2%.
This simple adjustment is usually sufficient to compensate for dimensional variations without affecting system performance.

Adapter
The adapter is mounted directly onto the side panels and is available for all roller diameters, with the exception of the 76 mm size, which can be used directly on the side panels without the need for an adapter.
This system also eliminates the need to reprint the side panels when switching from one tape diameter to another: simply replace the roller and adapter to quickly and easily reconfigure the module.
A solution designed to reduce unnecessary reprints and keep the system truly flexible over time.

Cutter
The cutter plays a dual role within the module:
on one hand it keeps the side panels at the correct spacing, on the other it adds structural cohesion and rigidity to the entire module.
For this reason, it follows the same size classifications as the rollers (XS, S, M, L) and must be selected according to the roller size in use, ensuring proper assembly and optimal system performance.

Extras
Among the print profiles you will find two extras, designed for specific use cases or special system configurations.
Cap
This cap can be used in place of an adapter if you start or end a series with a double module.
Its purpose is mainly aesthetic: it is meant more to soothe the obsessive tendencies of completionists than to solve a real functional requirement.
That said, if you also want everything to look clean and closed, the cap is there for exactly that reason.

SKÅDIS Adapter
These adapters make the T.A.P.E. wall mount compatible with IKEA SKÅDIS modular panels.
For each wall mount, you will need:
- 2 hook adapters, to be inserted into the first and third slots originally intended for wall-mount screws
- 1 central cap, to be placed in the remaining slot to complete the assembly
This allows you to integrate T.A.P.E. directly onto a SKÅDIS panel without any permanent modifications.

Update 02/2026
Upon request, I added the Long Sides profile.
A new type of side panels that allows the use of large-format tapes.
Supported diameter up to 260 mm (≈ 10.24 inches).
