Description

Check out my new 4th of July Glasses

This is my new version which combines the features of my past 2 models and even improving some parts.
Some of the improvements over previous models: better lid design ( not easy to open by mistake ), redesigned springs to be sturdier and easier to assemble. The only “downside” of this model over my first model, is that in order to print another custom lid, you have to print also the recipient, as they are connected with a print-in-place hinge. I like it more like this as it makes it a more sturdy and professional result.

Features

*3d printed springs for ejecting toothpicks. NO hardware or tools needed.
*all parts printed with no supports.

*Print in place lid. (improved design over the older versions: has a “locking” lip to not be open by mistake)

*Easy to assembly. (please check bellow for detailed pictures)

*easily customizable from Bambu studio: the “Push” text can be changed or even deleted before printing. Also the blank lid profiles allow you to add custom text/logo on it.

*There are two main models, one for toothpicks of max 66mm and one for max 81mm. (one profile for each)
Please be sure to measure your toothpicks and print the correct version. In my country the toothpicks are 65mm usually.

*Also the 66mm has two versions: one with blank lid (to be easily customized in Bambu studio with text/logos) and one with Voronoi design.
*The 81mm model has only the blank lid version.

*Please shake the dispenser to arrange the toothpicks correctly and parallel. Throw away toothpicks that look too different than normal ones: damaged, askew.

*Please use my (designer) profiles, as I carefully set different setting for different parts, based on actual needs to make it work perfect and look good.

*One of the changes for example: 0.12mm layer height is very useful for the recipient and lid, for a smoother feeding path. I've tested 0.2mm layer height and you can get some rough surfaces there which will hinder the toothpick movement to the feeder. This change combined with different infill settings make a smoother surface where it needs it.
*The washer is to be used only if the toothpicks are not dispensed perfectly. You should add it only if you have issues with toothpicks being too thin or too thick (toothpicks are thrown away or are hard to pull out from the dispenser).
In case the toothpicks are thrown away, add the washer on the left arm.
In case the toothpicks are hard to take away, add the washer on the right arm.

Assembly:

Please check the gif animation and/or the step by step images bellow:

  1. Insert the recipient with lid into the base:

2. Insert the “legs” from the sides, connecting the recipient with the base. The WASHER is OPTIONAL and I suggest to NOT use it first time. See how it works without it and if the toothpicks are flying because they are too thin, use it on the left side of the dispenser like in the photo bellow.

3. Add the springs connecting one end to the “legs” and the other end to the recipient front part. When connecting first the end to the “leg”, the other end should rest over the recipient. So, when you connect the front end to the recipient, the spring will be in a small tension.

4. Insert the toothpick separator and watch the grooves. It should not be possible to insert it reversed.

5. Add toothpicks, close the lid and have fun !!!
Try to shake a bit the device, to arrange the toothpicks parallel. The device can have a small break-in period to run more smoothly. Also, try to no press very slow to dispense the toothpick. Depending on the toothpicks you have, could be a difference in diameter and therefore it can work better if you press it deeper or not.
