+++ UPDATE 17.03.2026 +++

Improved suspension and new coupling lengths

Please read!

A 0.2 mm nozzle is required, 0.1 mm layer height, no supports. I printed with PLA Basic from Bambu Lab in black. I recommend either using this or another well-calibrated PLA

Since there seems to be no standard for this type of coupling, this coupling does not fit every vehicle equally. There seem to be differences especially between manufacturers. On my vehicles, the magnetic coupling was tested for system use and continuously improved. Tractive effort is absolutely sufficient, 150 cm trains were pulled over a 1.5% incline without problems

Coupling distance

There are three different coupling lengths:

(S) Small

(M) Medium

(L) Large

The respective coupling length is printed on the underside of the coupling

Magnets

N52 magnets with 1.5mm diameter and 1.5mm depth are used here. I ordered the magnets here:

https://www.magnetmax.de/scheibenmagnet-1-5x1-5mm-neodym (I have no affiliation with the shop and do not receive any discounts or similar benefits)

Assembly

For assembly, the magnets are fully pressed into the holes. Pointed pliers can be advantageous, as some force is required. No glue is needed

Compatible with Peho 333 magnetic couplings

I have also created magnetic couplings with NEM 355
