Description

This is a simple and practical enclosure designed for a VoCore 5-inch display, intended for use as a DDU on a sim racing rig. I designed it because I couldn’t find a clean and practical solution, so I made my own using spare parts I already had.

The enclosure uses M3 heat inserts and M3 hex socket screws and features a snug fit for the display, keeping everything firmly in place. The screw holes are tight by design, so the screws should be threaded in carefully the first time (or with a bit of extra force 😅). It fits well and has a clean, minimal look.

On the back, there are holes for magnets (12×6 mm), spaced 70 mm apart. This allows anyone to design their own mounting solution if desired. Otherwise, I may design a mount for myself and post it here later.

If you notice anything that could be improved, feel free to leave a comment and I may update the design.

Bill of Materials:

  • VoCore 5-inch display
  • M3 heat inserts (M3x6x4.2)
  • M3 hex socket screws (M3x10 recommended, M3x12 also works)
  • USB-C cable to connect the VoCore display
  • 12×6 mm magnets (optional, for mounting)
