Cutting **40mm thick XPS foam (IsoPink)** precisely with a utility knife is extremely difficult. This model is a **dedicated hot wire foam cutter** designed to create precise **grooves** with accurate depth and angle in 40mm thick insulation material

3D Printed Parts: Main body, Handle
Nichrome Wire: 0.5mm thickness recommended
Power Supply: 12V 2A or higher adapter (PWM speed controller recommended)
Misc: 2 small wood blocks (for heat isolation), Bolts/Nuts (for wire fixation)
๐ ๏ธ Assembly & Usage Guide
Wire Fixation: If the nichrome wire directly touches the 3D print, it may melt. Secure the nichrome wire to small wood blocks using screws, then attach those wood blocks to the printed main body
Power Connection: Connect power to both ends of the nichrome wire (At 12V 2A, it cuts slowly and smoothly. Be careful, too strong voltage can break the wire)
Cutting: Adhere the guide closely to the side of the XPS foam, then push it slowly at a constant speed

โ ๏ธ Safety Warning
Burn Hazard: The nichrome wire is extremely hot. Never touch it during operation
Ventilation Essential: Harmful gases may be produced when XPS foam melts, so always work in a well-ventilated area and wear a mask
Fire Hazard: Disconnect power immediately after use
