Latest Update:

• 2026.2.3 Replace all the printer profile which list ABS as the main print material to PLA. 

  • Since there are few comments point out the print failed which very strange to me as I printed all the files. I went thought the list found that some colour material set to ABS for some reasons( I dont know), which may cause the issue if you really using ABS combine with PLA or print ABS on a A1 Machine. So all materials are changed to PLA.

Inspiration

Starting this project was actually quite spontaneous and not planned. The reason was that I saw the Apple Watch charging storage box designed by @oldflattop on MW and found the design very interesting, so I downloaded and printed one.

However, after downloading it, I realized a problem: oldflattop designed it based on Apple's original charger, but I only had a third-party charger, so the cable routing and dimensions didn't match. I had no choice but to design one myself based on the general concept. After designing the watch charger, I realized I also needed a phone charger, then a plug, and finally a box. Things quickly escalated from designing a charging set to creating a travel kit.

Design Concept:

Since it’s a travel kit, I considered designing it in a rectangular shape, but that would make the entire volume huge.

So I ultimately chose a triangular shape.

For the box lid, I designed a hinge mechanism using 1.75mm PETG/PLA as the link. This way, everyone who downloads and prints it from MakerWorld won’t need to find additional screws for assembly.

For the inner compartment, I designed it to be removable.

The white part on the top lid is a replaceable label. Those with modeling skills can replace it with their preferred colors or content. Alternatively, you can use Bambu Studio to add custom text. I tried printing the top lid with transparent PETG, and it looks very stylish.

This way, besides the charging sets, you can also store other items. It can even serve as my lunch box, be converted into a stationery box, or allow the wireless charging case to be hung separately on a bag.

Regarding the charging set:

I used a UGreen  wireless charger, and UGreen Apple Watch charger, and an IQ charger. Please choose the print files based on your actual situation.

Due to the USB cable routing, it’s impossible to hide all the cables inside the box. So, I decided to leave them exposed and turn the cables into hanging straps.

This not only preserves the appearance but also adds functionality. Unlike the original design, I adopted a three-segment structure, which facilitates cable routing during installation and ensures smooth storage.

The case can be also use as standalone unit for a quick travel.
