(This is satire)
I was really inspired this week by the idea that Nobel Peace Prizes can be so easily regifted for political favor. After careful consideration, I decided to start the Nopel Peace Prize and appoint myself the founding chairperson for life. I found that the Nobel Peace Prize was a bit restrictive in it's mission “Pro pace et fraternitate gentium” which means "For peace and the fraternity of nations"… So I significantly improved the Nopel Peace Prize text to be “Pro pace vel quicquid expedierit” Which literally means “For Peace or whatever may be expedient” which leaves the door wide open for whatever someone decides they want to do at the time.. could be peace…
Ironically, I have learned that not getting a Nobel Peace Prize can be perfect justification for not pursuing peace (Dear Jonas: Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace). So part of the charter of the Nopel Peace Prize is to completely eliminate the unnecessary scarcity and award one to everyone. I am proud to share that all 3 of my kids are now Nopel Peace Prize winners.
FAQ:
1. Is it really made of gold? Yes and no…. It looks gold but is made of cheap plastic which is pretty close… So I would say yes it is gold.
2. Can I print out many at the same time? Yes, actually this is encouraged. Imagine how peaceful the world will be if we all have these peace prizes and feel mildly obligated to pursue peace!
3. Is Donald Trump's face on the front of this new coin? YES! What you think we are going to have some non-American on this thing? I did some research and found that Don has been putting his face on LOTS of stuff… Really nice stuff too.
4. Trying to be peaceful sounds like a lot of work! If I am awarded one do I have to be peaceful? No! You only have to be peaceful when it aligns with your immediate interests. The award suggest you are committed to peace but only when it suits you or your remember to be.
