This is an insert for the expansion "Twin Shadows" of the "Star Wars: Imperial Assault" board game.
Pictures refer to version 1 (see "Version History" below), the design has been further improved after that.
The design is split in 2 plates that can be printed separately and glued together (tested with PLA on P1S). There's also the uncut version in case your plate is larger than mine.
Storage Solution
This insert can accomodate all components from the "Twin Shadow" small box and related small packs.
Following historical release order this includes:
- Wave 2
- Twin Shadows
- R2-D2
- C-3PO
- Boba Fett
- Kayn Somos
- Wave 3
- Wookiee Warriors
- Stormtroopers
- Hired Guns
It can fit sleeved cards. I use standard Mayday sleeves, but I haven't tried premium thickness although there's some extra room.
Large map tokens and rulebook are meant to be stacked one on top of the other as shown in the pictures.
I store tokens from all expansions into the Core Box of the game, so in this insert you won't find trays for each type of token. I suggest you to do the same, however the large tray (the one for map, hero cards and mission sheets) has plenty of space to accomodate ziplock bags with tokens if you like to. There is also extra spare space between cards and figures.
Version History
- Insert prototype and first full print.
- More space for large map tokens and rulebook to avoid issues with the lid.
- Added a support for the longer map token on the left side of the insert.
