Description

Boost Me (for free)

This is my first model here, a boost or a like would make me very happy.

A 100mm model of a Hungarian Black Army infantryman, equipped with interchangeable weapons such as a spear, poleaxe or halberd, and a pavise shield—typical arms of 15th-century infantry. Although the mercenary army of King Matthias Corvinus is best known for its powerful cavalry, its professional infantry was also very important and visually distinctive, so this one is wearing a kettle hat with bevor. Equipment and armor were not standardized and could vary between soldiers. The name “Black Army” may relate to the use of darkened armor or banners, though its exact origin remains debated.

I will try to update the post with a painted version soon.
If you think there are other weapons or modifications to the model or the print profiles, let me know and I will see what I can do.
Follow me if you'd like to see more historical printable models in the future such as this one.

Thank you for the five stars! And for the picture too. That is some nice paint job and a great redesign of the equipment :D

easy and great to print and paint but I want to know what paint you used, it does not look as good as yours so I would love to know the paint because I want this to look like a perfetional diorama figure

I'm glad you liked it! My workflow: 1. 2-3 coats of primer (or just airbrush it with acrylic paint) 2. I used multiple thin layers of basic storebought acrylic paint for the boots and other non-metallic stuff 3. For metallic stuff, I used dry-brush technique with acrylic metal paint (you can find them online, I used a nameless one) 4. For the shield, I masked parts of the shield so I could get that pattern (use a weak tape for this and make sure the paint is dry, so you don't tear off previous coatings). And for painting it you can use either a cheap drybrush or just paint it with a normal brush and use a sponge to remove any brushmarks. I think that's about it, if you have any more questions send me a private message. Please check out my other models too, if this one is to you liking. And if you are done with the painting, don't forget to share it with a rating :D
