Solidex VT-90HQ Tripod mount remix
Print Profile(1)

Description
Found a really nice Solidex vt-90hq camera tripod at discount store. However the quick release plate to mount cameras to it are hard to find and the few i did were outrageously expensive. So after looking around I found one by IBoucher on a different site that seemed mostly correct.
However after printing it I found several issues it did not actually fit into my tripod and it was way too thick for the D-ring screws I ordered from amazon to even go through all the way, and I had to drill out the hole to get them in. So thank you alot Iboucher for the initial design but i fired up fusion 360 and did several modifications of its size and design so that this screw from amazon fit properly without drilling and would actually extend far enough to reach the telescope mount, and the body actually fit into the tripod, and locked down.

I suggest you print In PETG or ABS, my profile is PETG with a 6 walls and a moderate Cubic infill. You don't want your expensive camera or telescope to hit the ground and you find out your print was not strong enough, or it softened and gave way due to a hot sunny day.
I seems to hold my Dwarf III telescope really well, hopefully someone will find this useful. I have included 3 different designs i modified Square, longer rectangle, and circle versions. The hole is resized so it is snug, but you can gently turn it in and it will snap in place and just keep the screw from falling out. Remember to remove the supports below the two snap in tabs.
