XIAO ESP32S3 磁吸 Snap-Lock 外壳 ESP-NOW Receiver Case
Print Profile(1)

Description
This is an ultra-compact enclosure designed specifically for the Seeed Studio XIAO ESP32S3: The lid + enclosure body features a snap-fit structure, allowing for a Snap Lock closure with a light press, no screws required; A circular magnet slot is reserved at the bottom, so after inserting a magnet, it can be directly attached to PC cases, metal brackets, tool cabinets, and other locations, allowing your small ESP32S3 device to be "stick-and-use"
I use it as an ESP-NOW receiver in my Moonlight-Box project: The XIAO ESP32S3 receives signals from the remote/sensor end via ESP-NOW, and after connecting to a computer via USB, it emulates an HID device (keyboard/mouse/macro keys, etc.), to achieve automatic operations or quick control of the computer

Highlights
- Snap Lock Lid: Screw-less, quick opening and closing, more convenient for maintenance/flashing
- Magnetic Base Slot: Bottom circular magnet compartment, easily attaches to metal surfaces (e.g., PC cases)
- Ultra-Small Size: Takes up no space on a desk or PC case, suitable for permanent receiver ends/small edge nodes
- Front-Facing USB-C Opening: Convenient for plugging/unplugging and power supply, suitable for long-term fixed deployment
- Application-Friendly: Particularly suitable for PC peripheral applications such as "ESP-NOW reception + USB HID"
Applicable Scenarios (Inspiration)
- ESP-NOW → USB HID: Wireless receiver (buttons, sensors, remote controls) to control computer hotkeys/mouse actions
- PC Case/Workbench Magnetic Assistant: Attach to a PC case for status lights, quick control, automation triggers
- Demonstration/Exhibition Device: No screw assembly required, quick on-site disassembly/assembly, easy to maintain
- Temporary Deployment Node: Stick it wherever needed, move its location anytime
Printing Suggestions (Recommended Parameters)
- Filament: PLA / PETG are both suitable (choose PETG for better durability)
- Layer height: 0.2 mm (0.16 for finer detail)
- Wall thickness: ≥ 1.2 mm (3 walls)
- Infill: 15–25%
- Supports: Generally not needed (if your USB port bridge structure is significantly overhanging, enable "tree supports on build plate only" for minimal support)
- Tip: Snap-fit structures are sensitive to precision; if too tight, slightly adjust horizontal expansion in the slicer (or lightly sand the snap-fit area)
Assembly Instructions
- Magnet Installation: Press the circular magnet into the bottom slot (a small amount of hot melt glue/AB glue can be used to secure it and prevent detachment)
- Insert XIAO ESP32S3: Align the USB-C direction and place it into the enclosure body
- Lid Snap Lock: Align the snap-fit edges, press gently around the perimeter to complete the closure
Extended Uses You Might Like
- Turn it into a "Desktop Macro Key Receiver": The remote end sends different commands, and the receiver maps them to different hotkeys
- Pair with Node-RED / Home Assistant: ESP-NOW reception triggers automation, then HID completes computer operations
- Create a "Stick-and-Use" demo kit: Magnetic attachment + USB power, stable and convenient for on-site demonstrations
Magnet Specifications (Magnet) -- Available from Maker's Supply
- Model: Round magnet 6×2 mm (diameter 6mm × thickness 2mm)
- Installation: The bottom has a reserved magnet slot; it is recommended to apply a small amount of super glue after pressing it in to prevent detachment (especially when frequently disassembled or moved)
