Description

How to play with print settings:

Important note: I forgot to mention that increasing the layer height makes layer lines more visible, which some people may not prefer. A 0.6 mm nozzle with around 0.2 mm layer height is a good balanced choice. However, depending on the design—like the Fluted Flow, Canopy, and Torsion collections—you can go higher (e.g., 0.24 mm). Don’t be afraid to experiment with the settings.

For filament selection, please refer to the PDF. : https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1IaSxpI7RySeYucwzo67HW4V7sIvSvKYj?usp=sharing

If you prefer not to check the PDF, here is a quick summary:

All lamp shades have a 0.8 mm wall thickness, regardless of whether you use PLA or PETG. White filaments generally work best for lamp shades. We do not recommend a specific color or filament, but here are our favorite options:

  • Bambu Lab PLA Matte Bone White (11103)
  • Bambu Lab PLA Matte Ivory White (11100)
  • Bambu Lab PLA Basic Gold (10401)
  • Bambu Lab PLA Basic Pumpkin Orange (10301)

Translucent Pendant Lights:

You can also use heat-insert nuts:
1/4"-8×8 brass knurled heat-insert nuts

And camera screws:
1/4"-12×15 camera screws

These can add a bit more solidity to the product, although they are optional and not required.

We have printed this model and it has defects that are already visible in the slicer. We are attaching photos.

The parametric pattern was created intentionally. Each unit has a different depth, and none of the patterns are identical. In the area you marked, the pattern becomes almost invisible, but this variation is a deliberate design choice, not a defect. We recognize that some people appreciate this complexity, while others may perceive it differently. Since the crowdfunding campaign continues to receive support, we plan to develop new collections in the future. For those, we will likely explore simpler patterns, to not receive complain.

Perfect, understood. Knowing that it is an intentional design choice, we will be able to justify it without any issue if a customer makes a comment about the finish. Thank you.

Hi, we have uploaded a version without this. It is added as a print profile. Please check the print profile.

Hi @user_4162648539 Regarding the Diamond Quilt Translucent, I noticed that it’s too close to the diffuser. Is it possible to move it a bit farther so the texture becomes more visible when in front? Here's a comparison Tessera vs Diamond Quilt

I printed the Diamond Quilt translucent shell and it printed perfectly with Bambu Translucent Teal (32501) filament. The inner shell was Bambu PLA Jade White (10100). The basic lamp looks good but I put stickers on the outside of the inner shell before putting it into the outer shell. These stickers are between the inner shell and the outer shell. Now it's a wonderful lamp for my grand-kids nursery. Thank you for the time you took to make this wonderful print.

Hi, the inner shell also works with the diamond quilt outer shell. As you may notice, the inner shell sits very close to the outer shell in this version.Let me explain why this design is a bit different from the others. In our previous designs, we were able to center the outer shell by squeezing the inner shell from the top and bottom. However, in this design, no matter what we tried, the inner shell never stayed perfectly in the middle. The distance between the shells was always uneven. It’s not really because of the design itself—it actually needs some pressure from the top as well. In the end, we decided to let the two parts touch each other instead. We asked several people for their opinion, and most of them preferred this version. So we decided to share this version rather than the one where the distance between the shells looked uneven.

Thank you so much for the explanation, but I still can't find the STL for the inner shell for the translucent diamond quilt desk lamp. I printed the one that is available, but it does not fit on the diamond outer shell at all. Also, are the translucent pendant light and the inner shell available?

Hi, could you please try it again? I’m sure it will fit. The first attempt can be a bit difficult, but it should get easier after that. Take your time and try to fit it.I and other people have tried it and it does fit.Translucent pendant lights will also be designed. We are currently in the middle of moving, and we are relocating the printers and computers as well, so I couldn’t finish the translucent pendant lights yet. Moving is taking much longer than we expected.Thank you for your understanding.
