La Finca Colombiana – A Tribute to Colombian Heritage.

I created La Finca Colombiana as a personal tribute to Colombia, its people, traditions, and rural roots. The finca is more than a house, it represents family, hard work, coffee culture, and identity. 

By transforming it into a book nook, I wanted to bring that feeling into a space where stories live, a bookshelf.

Every element was chosen with intention and respect. This project is my way of honoring where I come from and sharing a piece of Colombia with the world through 3D printing.

This book nook is inspired by the traditional Colombian finca, created as a heartfelt homage to the Colombian people, their culture, and rural architecture.

This piece captures the iconic red and green color palette, wooden balconies, and warm atmosphere found in fincas across Colombia. Every detail was carefully designed and printed to tell a story, one of tradition, identity, and everyday life.

Inside the scene you’ll find recognizable cultural elements such as aguardiente bottles and cups, a carriel, a machete, a coffee sack, a sombrero vueltiao, and rural tools, all placed naturally within the environment to reflect authentic Colombian life. 

The wall art, cobblestone floor, and layered depth bring the finca to life inside a bookshelf.

The integrated LED lighting recreates the feeling of warm daylight entering a finca courtyard, enhancing depth, shadows, and realism.
Except for a single reference image used only to visualize a book nook setting, this project uses no AI generation, all other images are real photographs of the fully 3D-printed model.

This book nook is more than décor, it is a miniature cultural monument, designed to preserve and celebrate Colombian heritage in a creative, tangible way.
