Description
Let's go back to 1910 and the the creation of this Iconic Bristol Scroll logo, first used for the British & colonial Aeroplane Company.
By 1913 this scroll was famous as a metal grill badge for the Bristol Tramways passenger and goods vehicles.
The scroll later appeared on:
- Bus radiators
- Coachwork badges
- Printed timetables
- Uniform buttons
- Vehicle manuals
- Station signage
This Logo was used up until around 1970's when it was phased out in favour for National Bus Company new branding and disappeared for good vehicles in the 1980's
A real piece of motoring past that became deeply associated as Bristol's unofficial emblem.
