This project originates from the complete redesign of the internal tray of the board game box “VuDù”
The original tray only accommodates dice, pawns, and cards for the base game, completely excluding expansions, which are provided in rather bulky separate boxes
Not liking to have multiple boxes for the same game and wanting to keep my game library tidy and compact, I decided to completely rethink the internal layout, maximizing the available volume of the original box
The result is a tray designed to:
- contain all base game components
- accommodate all available official expansions (updated as of January 2026, according to the official VuDù website)
- offer additional space for extra dice or pawns, thanks to a better organization of compartments
The redesign is not limited to “adding space”, but rationally reorganizes the internal geometries to improve accessibility, order, and practicality during game setup and reorganization
Printing recommendations
- PLA Basic
- 0.2mm Layer Height
- 2 Wall Loops
- 5 Top Layers
- 3 Bottom Layers
- 10% Grid infill
- No supports
- No brim and/or raft
Included Files
To ensure maximum flexibility, different formats are provided:
- Print-ready files for immediate use
- STEP files, for dimensional modifications or adaptations to specific needs
- STL files, for printing with other slicers
This way the model can be used by those who simply want to print, as well as by those who wish to customize or further evolve the project
