Description

These Easter eggs are larger than normal. Actually, they are about the size on an emu egg! I would suggest that you choose 1-3 eggs and display them together. Adding extra eggs printed at varying scales can also look very nice. I have successfully tested them down to 25% scale with the exception of the Lattice Egg. The lattice is a retraction nightmare at smaller sizes. They should scale upwards without issue as well, but beware - they are pretty large already!

Check out my other holiday models here.

Print Settings

Because of the size, these eggs take a while to print. I found that I could speed up that process by limiting infill to critical areas only. Most of the examples above were printed at 0.2mm layer heights.

not able to print on these nice eggs from the main 3mf file. parts don't hold together. did 2 test prints with an A1 and PolyTerra PLA 🥺 Maybe the specific file for this egg works, last try. But obviously nobody else tried this egg (at least no pictures in the comments). I really like all of these egg designs.

I am having the same problem. Luckily it failed in the first 2 min. Trying it again.

I think the adhision/connection btw the section is too less. I even saw a pattern, probably need to get the inner area to 100% infill. Or any other idea? btw: the single file for this egg is different to the all-in-one-file, there is a modifier in place

intersting! thanks for the info! i ended up printing 2 other eggs in silver with 50% speed and was successfull! but i retired this lrint completely as i wasnt impressed with the print quality! maybe it would look better with matte PLAs! silk was not good!

Nice designs! Printed on A1 mini. One of them broke during the print but I removed the broken part and let the print finish. Ended up with one "3d print art" variant :)
