Aquarium Terrarium Rock Texture 3D Background

Printing Settings: This model is designed to be easy to print. For the best results and least amount of waste, print it standing up.

• Material: PLA Matte or PETG look fantastic.
• Nozzle: 0.4mm standard.
• Layer Height: 0.2mm (standard quality) is sufficient, though 0.16mm will yield slightly sharper details.
• Infill: 5-10% Grid or Gyroid.
• Supports: No supports needed.
• Brim: Generally not needed, unless you have bed adhesion issues.

Post-Processing & Painting While the model looks great printed in a solid color like Matte Grey or White, painting brings it to life.

The example photos show the background painted to resemble stone. This effect is easily achieved using acrylic model paints. Start with a dark base coat (dark grey/black), then dry-brush lighter shades of grey and white over the raised areas to highlight the extreme texture. An airbrush can also be used for smooth gradients.

Safety Note: Ensure any paints or sealers used are aquarium/terrarium safe once cured before introducing animals.
