Description

Forget to pack your toothbrush?

This is a fully functional, 3D-printable toothbrush designed to be printed in one piece, including the bristles. By leveraging thin-wall extrusion paths, this model creates flexible bristles that are soft enough for actual use, even when printed in standard PLA.

It’s both a perfect "functional torture test" for your printer and a legitimate lifesaver for travel or emergencies.

How it works

The design uses extremely thin structures that act as bristles. To ensure they are usable:

  • Print-in-Place: The model prints on a side (as oriented in the provided profile).
  • Customizable Softness: Once printed, you simply use a pair of scissors to cut away the support structure and trim the bristles to your preferred length. PLA works great and remains flexible enough at this thickness, but PETG can be used for a slightly "softer" feel
  • Compatibility: Fully compatible with small-format printers like the A1 mini, less than 50 minutes to print!

Post-Processing

  1. Remove the print from the bed carefully.
  2. Use sharp scissors or a flush cutter to remove the top stabilizing bar from the bristles.
  3. Trim the bristles to your desired height. The shorter you cut them, the "stiffer" the brush will feel.
