If you found this model useful, I'd appreciate a boost! I focus on building models that fulfill a need and I have tested and found useful to myself.
This is a dimensionally replicated replacement for a Cub Cadet Hood Pivot Bracket (Part Num: 731-10069) that is on my XT1 LT46 lawn tractor. This part may be used on other Cub Cadet or MTD models, but I am unable to verify.
I added reinforcement around the bottom attachment slot that had broken on mine. This attachment slot is intentionally built to install with a snug-fit to ensure it doesn't vibrate. I suggest using a mallet and lightly tapping it into place on the tractor.
“Why does it look so basic?” I intentionally did not replicate all the various shapes of the original part because; 1. Those are more beneficial in an injection-molded part and 2. So that this will print easily with limited supports. Functionally, it performs identical to the original part.
Printing Guidelines
DO NOT PRINT WITH PLA!!! While this bracket does not need to very strong, it is positioned very closely to the engines exhaust pipe (see photos for measurement). You will need to print this with a high-temperature filament such as PAHT-CF.
Print this bracket on its side with supports enabled, and I suggest using a brim as well.
