🔹 General Description
A mini trash container inspired by real-life garbage bins, designed in a smaller scale. It is perfect as a waste container for 3D printing leftovers (supports, filament scraps), but it can also be used as a desktop trash bin or a decorative desk accessory.
The project offers a lot of customization options – both in colors and details – allowing you to create your own unique design.
📐 Dimensions
- Overall dimensions: approx. 118 × 150 × 120 mm
🧩 Construction & Assembly
- The model consists of separately printed parts: bottom container and top lid
- The top lid is mounted using two press-fit pins, which also connect the opening flap to the container
- On the sides of the bin there are two additional small press-fit pins
- The container can be used:
- without wheels
- with wheels (optional, user’s choice)
🛞 Wheels – Details
The project includes two wheel mounting options:
- 🔩 M3 screw mounting
- 🧵 1.75 mm filament pin mounting
Available hole diameters:
Filament pin mounting:
- 2.10 mm
- 2.30 mm
- 2.50 mm
M3 screw mounting:
- 3.40 mm
- 3.60 mm
➡️ Every printer, calibration, and material behaves differently, so test prints are required to find the perfect fit. This will ensure the wheels spin smoothly and roll properly.
The wheels have random seam placement, which improves rotation and rolling performance.
📐 Alignment Bracket
A small alignment bracket is included in the project:
- Helps to align and glue the wheels evenly and precisely
- Simply place the bracket as shown in the reference images
- Wheels can be attached using:
- a drop of super glue
- double-sided tape
🏷️ Label / Sign
- The project includes a front label
- Attachment: super glue or double-sided tape
- Text is easy to edit in Bambu Studio
- You can quickly change the label to match your needs (PLA, PETG, ABS, BIO, etc.)
🎨 Customization
- Full freedom in color selection
- Mix and match colors for lid, body, wheels, and label
- Create your own unique design
- Looks great in both realistic and creative color schemes
