Description
Stop premature LED failure on your Ford Super Duty!
When mounting flat-base LED directional lights (like Grote 78143) to the arched grille of a Ford F-550 or similar trucks, bolting them down forces the light housing to bend. This warps the internal seals, letting water in and causing premature failure.
The AV_Studio3D Solution: This precision-engineered spacer features a radius-matched back to sit perfectly flush against the Ford grille, while providing a perfectly flat mounting surface for the LED.
Why I recommend printing in TPU: I designed and tested these specifically using TPU (95A).
- Vibration Dampening: TPU absorbs road shock, protecting the LED electronics.
- Custom Gasket: The flexible nature of TPU allows it to compress against the grille, creating a secondary water-tight seal.
- Paint Protection: Unlike hard plastics, TPU won't scratch your truck's finish.
Print Settings:
- Material: TPU (95A)
- Infill: 60-80% (Gyroid) for a firm but slightly compressible base.
- Walls: 4 Walls for strength around the bolt holes.
- Supports: None needed.
