Description

Xplorer Grip Pro – Mic Air Magnetic Shoe Mount

This is a simple, fast-printing shoe mount designed specifically for the Xplorer Grip Pro Kit when using the Insta360 Mic Air with the rear shirt-button magnet.

The mount uses a 9 × 2 mm round disk magnet to securely hold the Mic Air magnet in place. The magnet press-fits closely but a small amount of glue is recommended for long-term security.

Key Features

  • Designed for Insta360 Mic Air using the back shirt-button magnet
  • Uses a 9×2 mm disk magnet
  • Underside access hole allows the magnet to be pushed out if replacement or adjustment is needed
  • Does NOT block the flip screen, unlike my previous Xplorer Grip Kit cage model
  • Does NOT interfere with the lens, even when using the fuzzy windshield
  • Compact, low-profile design

    Assembly
  • Insert a 9×2 mm disk magnet into the magnet pocket
  • Apply a small drop of glue (CA glue or epoxy recommended)
  • Ensure the magnet is seated flush
  • Allow glue to fully cure before use

Printing Notes

  • Prints quick and easy
  • Recommended materials: PLA or PETG
  • Supports required
  • Minimal post-processing

This mount is ideal if you want a clean, removable Mic Air setup that stays out of the way while keeping full screen articulation and lens clearance.
