About this Project

This is my entry for @KitCrafters - Origin Zero Remix Contest.

As you can guess from the images and (tounge-in-cheek) sales pitch above, I turned the base model into a quadruped logging mech, complete with a claw-arm on it's right and a buzzsaw for cutting down trees on it's left, as well as a bespoke backpack to carry the logs. All pieces are compatible with and based on the original Origin Zero Mech. The arms and backpack-attachement are mostly built from scratch while the remaining pieces have been edited and detailed.

Can also be used as a pen-holder if need be. So I guess it's actually a 2in1 design lol

Printing Disclaimer

It prints entirely without the need for supports at default scale.

The ball joints have been edited compared to the original for more friction. I will include alternate versions of the Torso and Waist peice which use the original ball joint instead. The default joints work well for poseability and sturdyness with PLA.

There is also an alternative version of the Head without the antenna in case that might be too flimsiy for whomever it's given to.

The “logs” in the pictures are not part of the print ;P

Personal Note:

I took the opportunity of the contest as a motivational challenge to learn more about 3D-modelling in FreeCAD and 3D-printing in general as I've only gotten a printer recently. This is only the third model I've designed and printed myself so feedback is welcome and appreciated!

Cheers!
